Dear American Legion Family of Post 209,

    Thank you and your fellow Legion members so much for taking the time to listen to me yesterday.(general Meeting 3/14/207)  I left yesterday’s meeting very encouraged about the way we can work together to honor the wishes and needs of those in our community and I truly hope I made the word “hospice” one step less scary.  One great website to utilize is hospicewepromise.com.  It is a great resource for families who are dealing with loss or a significant illness and addresses veterans specifically.  There is also some really good information on the VA website.  I have attached the handout I gave you last night.  Please never hesitate to reach out with questions or if there is a way we can help your members.  I cannot tell you how much we are looking forward to having Carrie (and hopefully some others) as a volunteer!!  Thanks again for having us and thank you for your service.
